n economy we are told, simplistically, that humans maximize their wealth and then gain happiness by spending their wealth for consumption.

I think I want a closer model that can also extend to political realm.

Humans want power. They will use their power to gain happiness. Happiness are often obtained by unhappiness of others, usually the very rich.

For example. Say I want to explain why drug is illegal. Using theory #1 it doesn't make sense. Even if it were true that drug is dangerous, why in the earth people would go the extra mile protecting others from self inflicted danger? It presupposes that society love you more than you love your self, which is a great over estimation of society's love by a factor of 1000. However, theory #2 fit perfectly.

Voters want power, namely power to decide drug you use.

Any drugs that's fun, save, popular, and cheap are prohibited. Here, theory #2 correctly predict what will be prohibited.

Why people opposes organ donation?

Theory #1 doesn't make sense.

Voters want power, namely power to decide who live or die.

Any method where the more productive can live longer is politically incorrect. That's also why US have national health care.

Why sugar relationship is grey area (it may be legal, it may not be)?

Theory #1 doesn't make sense. When the rich make kids, their kids don't take welfare check. That means less tax.

Voters want power, namely power to decide who get the girls.

Any method where the rich can get girls in ways that do not lead to some catastrophic surprising financial shock is either illegal or politically incorrect.

In fact, that's the very reason why marriage is so politically correct. It often devastates rich males, like Tiger Wood, financially.

It also explains why child support is set proportional to a man's wealth. It's not to support any child. It's to ensure that reproduction is financially devastating for the rich.

Here, theory #2 correctly predict what's politically correct or incorrect. Can a relationship financially devastate a rich man that are surviving in the gene pool? If yes, like marriage, then it's politically correct. If no, like prostitution or women trafficking, then it's so politically incorrect it's illegal.

In fact, I think all opposition of free market can be explained by this desire to enslave and effective bigotry.

Yes the capitalists aren't like that. But they're minority.

Can we test this new theory?

Well, any government intervention that cannot be explained by slavery and bigotry?

The theory fit the data.

Any other theory that explain drug prohibition if not outright bigotry and desire to jail more people?

Your theory sucks.

The reason is not power; it's fear. As people grow older, they inherently decide they have more to lose; kids, job, house, wife, etc... Hence, people fear societal change, as it may cause them to lose what they already have.

Take gay marriage for example. There are plenty of potential reasons to fear it (all of which are unfounded):

1) Fear of wife leaving for another wife (or husband for that matter)
2) Fear of marriage benefits going away for straight couples
3) Fear of kids not getting married to a breeder and carrying on the family name
4) Fear of not knowing what to do when invited to a gay wedding
5) Fear of gays getting more government benefits
6) Fear of men losing the appeal of socially acceptable marriage as a reason to stay together
7) Fear of religion becoming less accepted

Then take drugs for example:

1) Fear of drug drivers
2) Fear of kids going after drugs rather than education
3) Fear of seeing drugged people in public places doing crazy shit
4) Fear of experimenting
5) Fear of being pressured into trying something you've avoided for XX years
6) Fear of overdose
7) Fear of peers not accepting your choice to take drugs

People are always going to give into fear and vote to not change.

None of those fear are justified
1) Fear of wife leaving for another wife (or husband for that matter)
get another wife. from the beginning you get what you can persuade to shag. If she doesn't want you and you insist, that counts as desire to enslave.
2) Fear of marriage benefits going away for straight couples
Eliminate all marriage benefits.
3) Fear of kids not getting married to a breeder and carrying on the family name
Get rich bang bitches. They support many laws that prevent the rich from breeding.
4) Fear of not knowing what to do when invited to a gay wedding
Attend, or say no.
5) Fear of gays getting more government benefits
Eliminate all governments benefits. Or pay citizen dividend.
6) Fear of men losing the appeal of socially acceptable marriage as a reason to stay together
Get rich bang bitches. Marriage sucks.
7) Fear of religion becoming less accepted
So? I thought they respect others' freedom.
Then take drugs for example:

1) Fear of drug drivers
If drug driving is dangerous, make it a felony.
2) Fear of kids going after drugs rather than education
Education sucks. Buy kids video games.
3) Fear of seeing drugged people in public places doing crazy shit
Walk with blind fold
4) Fear of experimenting
Then don't.
5) Fear of being pressured into trying something you've avoided for XX years
Just say no.
6) Fear of overdose
Then don't use drug.
7) Fear of peers not accepting your choice to take drugs
Pick a different peers

So essentially they fear that whatever they're peddling won't sale. I suppose that make sense. It explains anti women trafficking laws. Ugly women offering marriage won't sell now that they have to compete with cheaper women from other countries. It explains anti prostitution laws. Poor males offering marriage won't sell when they have to compete with millionaires earning tons.

It still doesn't explain anti drug and anti organ trade.

1. There's a difference between money and power. Just because someone has money doesn't mean they have a desire to initiate aggression towards other people. And on the other side, those who crave power, in general don't have a lot of money, look at cops, they make maybe $30k a year but they have (perceived) power. The logic that the majority of successful people are power hungry and hurt people to get what they want is usually not true. I'd say 95% of truly successful people I know are some of the most generous and coolest people I know. I'd say most want security and freedom, very few (outside of Government) pursue money for "power".

2. Drugs are illegal because the State profits off of them enormously and doesn't want competition. When was the last time decriminalizing all non-violent crime was up for a vote? It never has been, it's not up to the people.

3. I don't know many who oppose organ donations. But in the US it's ran by the State (HHS) and the system is corrupt. The State/non-profit collaboration makes centralized control of organ transplants extremely profitable and much more inefficient than it should be. I don't want to debate the pros/cons of a free market when it comes to organ sales but the regulations are for money/control, not for the general well being.

4. If you're talking about "sugar daddies" it's not illegal. There are plenty of guys who wouldn't pull the girls they do without the money. The "voters" don't care.

n fact, that's the very reason why marriage is so politically correct. It often devastates rich males, like Tiger Wood, financially.

It also explains why child support is set proportional to a man's wealth. It's not to support any child. It's to ensure that reproduction is financially devastating for the rich.
Both marriage and child support are controlled by the state. They're both for profit and control. Child support (under this system) is beyond criminal fraud perpetrated by the state. It's not designed to help families or children, it's designed for money and control.

If no, like prostitution or women trafficking, then it's so politically incorrect it's illegal.
Rich people can get away with paying for sex. Start a porn company. We all pay somehow. I'd say human trafficking, forced prostitution, exploiting minors etc falls under a different category. That hurts people. It's not a choice. Two different things. But consensual prostitution is illegal to justify more cops/arrests/money for the state.

In fact, I think all opposition of free market can be explained by this desire to enslave and effective bigotry.
The State exists to control the people and steal their money and resources. Every action they take boils down to expanding/protecting their power, justifying new ways to profit off of tax payers or making money for themselves and those with close ties to them.

People having any control is an illusion. The State is the root of all problems, from perpetual wars to the economy to violent crimes.

I agree with "enslave", I'd put power, control and money over bigotry though.

I think I'm too young for a Teguh thread
I *think* this is the first time I've replied to one.

I think I figured out a way to understand teguhs posts but it would involve lobotomising myself and I'm not sure it's worth it

It still doesn't explain anti drug and anti organ trade.

Anti drug and anti organ trade are both related to either fear of what will happen to ones kids or religion.

Case in point, I don't think I've ever met a parent that isn't in fear of their kids indulging in heroine (or other hard drugs). Even if the parent might take the drugs themselves and control the addiction, they fear their kids will not have the same self control. The reality is that most people who experiment with drugs grow out of it.

Religion on the other hand creates fears of "men playing god", which hampers medical advancements. Creating our own evolutionary path is not a bad thing.

Religion in general fucks shit up, for example, the "lords prayer" states "lead us not into temptation", yet the church tries to treat "temptation" as gambling/drugs/sex, when it has jack shit to do with "temptation". People have a fear of upsetting their religious parents by not abiding by their misguided beliefs.

Marriage was created because men feared being alone if women had their own choice to pick alpha males. Prearranged marriage is a perfect example of society guaranteeing their ugly beta male son has a chance to reproduce with a girl of better lineage. Women still seem to not understand how much of a fucked up institution marriage is, and that it was created by men to get past their beta male fears.
