Okay, so I'm looking for affiliates that'd work well for a current project of mine BladeTVSeries.com, and perhaps for future projects.

Basically, I've currently got an account with CJ and Amazon, but CJ doesn't seem to have any TV related affiliates (other than the affiliates that cover many areas such as Buy.com) and Amazon pretty much sucks. I'm looking for any kind of affiliate site that would be good for a TV show site/blog. Something that sells DVD of TV shows, episode downloads, show posters and/or celebrity posters, or anything else you guys can think of.

It seems like many like Azoogle more than CJ, and I'm definitely considering checking them out. If Azoogle have any TV related affiliates, I'd likely sign up today. I don't want to have too many accounts at too many different programs since it does get messy and a pain to keep track of, so it'd be great if the affiliate was part of a bigger network like CJ or Azoogle.

Thanks in advance.

How about dvd rental. Clickbooth have a campaign with netflix, who claim to have 3000 television dvds. :338:

One suggestion would be to approach one CPA network, get them on board as an agency of record, and have them approach all the other networks on your behalf. A lot of the CPA networks have Blockbuster and Netflix, and this offer may cater to the same demographics, so, why not have the offer available at all the networks that have BBV and Netflix.

Having said that, the offer has to convert well, and be enticing enough to be picked up by the networks as well as the affiliates.

I have been running a couple of TV related sites similar to what you are doing for a few years and I have always struggled to monetise them. Adsense is useless, I sell the odd DVD or book every now and then through Amazon andthe odd poster through allposters.com. I have had blockbuster ads on there for a while now and they haven't made a penny.

I don't want to necessarily put you off but one of my sites covers over 30 science fiction / fantasy related TV shows and gets 15000 unique visitors a month and I'm pretty much ready to give up with them

Thanks for all the suggestions everybody, I'll definitely be checking them all out.

Ferraristi, I've actually heard entertainment sites can be very profitable as well as being a waste of time, so it seems it's like most things that it could go either way. I've actually had some decent success with it already, though me making a buck a day is a good day for me.

The site is growing fairly steadily and I've only been using adsense ads. I just put on a few affiliate ads and will see how they work out.

I'm actually not doing it all for the money. I actually enjoy the sites I make and do content for, so while making money off my sites is definitely what I'm aiming for, it's not the end all be all of my web presence.

How much traffic do you get right now? If it's significant I have a contact that is looking to work with high traffic entertainment sites.

(By entertainment I mean TV, Hollywood, etc... not myspace and arcades)

Payton, my site averages around 200 visitors a day for most days then spikes to around 600-800 on thursdays (day after the show airs). I doubt that qualifies as high traffic, but for me that's pretty good, especially since it was launched only about a month ago.

Traffic is rising steadily so hopefully it won't take too long to have high traffic.

Yeah not quite... hopefully you can grow it... just to give you something to shoot for... I know some of the direct advertising they place pay up to $15 cpm.

Obviously you wouldn't get that after they take their cut but still....

Payton, not sure who your question was directed at and I'm conscious of not wanting to hijack this thread but if you meant me, then around 18000 unique visitors per month with around 60000 page views

Sorry I was mainly talking to Squirrel... but if you can get your sites up to those numbers per day instead of per month they would prob be interested.
