i consider to move my p202 from share hosting (damn daddy) to VPS, but i worry if i buy a expensive VPS such as wiredthree,i don't know how to use it. never use it before. :1bluewinky:
some suggestions from this company?
swvps . com
Managed VSP services like wiretree or liquidweb run cPanel. It's just like using most shared hosting but you have guaranteed resources. So if you can use shitDaddy.com you can use this or - well you better learn to because it's pretty standard shit.
Also if you can't handle cPanel how the fuck are you going to handle a non-managed VPS account like vpsville or swvps? Reality check, you wont be able to.
If you can't afford to VPS host with Wiredtree or any quality host, then you are in the wrong business. Seriously. If it is a matter of $30 or $40 a month more to have effective tracking, you pay it.
There are lots of ways to cut costs. Buy used furniture. Install Linux instead of upgrading windows. Code your own pages.
But when you start cheaping out on the capital infrastructure that makes you money (hosting) then you are doomed to fail.
Thanks guy , i just bought wiredtree for 1 month first.
My P202 will move to new house. new hosting new luck. my grant campaign traffic go down and down.
I am in the process of migrating to wiredtree hybrid vps. Leaving hostgator or should I say hostbullshit. I finally had my fill with their bullshit mod_security that basically crippled many of my sites, shut down my email, would not allow premium wordpress themes and plugins to work properly unless they whitelisted each fucking account. This even with a new accounts. It seems hostgator has gone over board on security unless you prove otherwise so fuck'm. Besides I needed to move anyways.
