I started an ad campaign almost 24 hours ago, and I still haven't got a single add approved by Yahoo. They're all sitting "pending".

Does anyone know how long it generally takes them to approve the ads? I've always had it be almost instant.

Really varies. Sometimes it's almost instant, sometimes it takes quite a while. Check if you have any trademarks or potentially blacklisted words in your ads or keywords.

Sometimes it helps to submit just 1-2 ads and a couple of very 'clean' (no trademarks, etc ) keywords first and then if those are approved instantly, add the rest of the ads and keywords.

I swear yahoo doesn't approve new ads on the weekend. They must not like making money [hell it might even save them from having to sell out the company].

Frankly though I have always been pretty happy with MSN AdCenter - so maybe that would be a great move for us!

some times your campaign are up almost right away, some others you have to wait days, even 4 days

Yeah, I think this is going to be my excuse to sign up for AdCenter, I've been waiting since Friday now. I tried setting up another quick campaign with general keywords as was suggested and that one hasn't been approved yet either.

AdCenter isn't any better in my experience.

Ok, I've found out they also don't really have coupons for Canadians, so I'm gonna stick with AdWords and YSM for now. I'll call them up tomorrow and see if they'll give me a coupon code but if not, their loss.

i think that adcenter is even more slow, I had a campaign that took 6 days to get approved, this is too much.

Talking to a few affiliates on AIM today, they are saying that tons of their ads are getting removed and declined out of nowhere. Then when they change them, or create a new one... they take forever to go Approved.

Who knows what’s up, Yahoo! is trying to increase quality I suppose... You would think they would need the money. Who knows.

xmcp, what do u mean your keywords get deactivated?

i have been having a problem with getting my ads to show with certain lower volume keywords in my ad groups although competitors show up for the same query. I definitely am bidding enough. I have talked to 3 morons so far and none have an answer....good stuff. I am seeing something similar on MSN also. They also have no answer. :error:

I was replying about AdCenter(someone brought it up above). And AdCenter is kinda notorious for removing keywords if they are not immediately on the LP. Even if they are actually relevant.
God forbid you want misspellings.
