Stupid Casino Blackjack Question

So, I'm a blackjack noob...

Say if the minimum at a table is $1, what would the max bet be? Would it be like $25 or would it be much less?

Also, is there any other expenses like an ante?

I believe there is no limit unless it says there is a max limit. But im not sure, i haven't played blackjack in a casino for a while.

They post the minimum and maximum bets on the table - (atleast where I'm from.)

Also, is there any other expenses like an ante?

Just the minimum bet required.

Additionally, if you want to play more than one spot, you have to double the minimum bet on both spots. (again from around here)

from the casinos I go to, they mix the tables up and change the min. bets around depending on the night and how many ppl are there.

They are usually max. $500.- and min. anywhere from 1.00 - 25.00

The issue of your max bet is normally situational based and what your comfortable with. I personally stick to 5x to 10x my typical bet but everyones different.

I haven't read a card counting book in a while, and I haven't played blackjack in a while, or been in a casino in a while (what a waste of money, the only thing I would go there for is a live poker game) but it's something to think about.

Brick and Mortar casinos have a min/max bet sign typically on individually tables. Table Limits vary by table so you'd have to look at the sign. The lowest I've seen is $5 Minimum.

Online casinos have limits as well and they can usually be found on the felt within the game or in the game information package within the software. Casinos are sometimes able to change the table limits to accomodate highrollers.
