Hello All,

So I wanted to know which company truely has the biggest selection of photos?

We have an account with iStockPhoto but getty images is really getting on our nerves and since it's one in the same we'd like to switch if there is a better option out there.

Any help is appreciated.

Nick

You could take a look at dreamstime.com, but I think the quality on iStockphoto is much higher.

Sorry, just noticed you said you were looking for the biggest selection, please disregard my suggestion...

Shutterstock has been around forever, I don't think they have a parent company. Subscription is a great deal if you need lotsa images.

If you really want a big selection, subscribe to all big stock sites. I've produced a ton of stock photography and I found istock & dreamstime to be most consistent earners, even gotten $$$$ exclusive sales. So I stopped bothering uploading to shutterstock and I know plenty of photographers who have done the same.

From a photographers perspective I totally agree with you! Go with what generates more money and consistently.

For us we have a daily deal site and we have quite a few deals everyday. We'd probably go with the 60 images a day in small / med format.

I'm just going by the availability of photos.

For the term "Flames" results:

ShutterStock = 238,192
iStockPhoto = 36,375
DreamsTime = 13,445

So clearly ShutterStock has a huge selection. I just wonder if their search engine is accurate. If it is then that's why it's not good from a photographers point of view. It's too saturated.
