Apparently "Unlimited" doesn't really mean "unlimited" with bluehost. When my website got a little spike in traffic due to responses to an offer I had sent in an e-mail to my website members, blue host decided to deactivate my account and pull my server down. No warning Whatsoever. When I contacted technical support, they said that the owner of the company himself (Matt) had deactivated the account and they had no power to do anything.

Moral of the story. If you are running anything on your website that might get a little traffic, stay away from BlueHost.

Cheers.

Get OFF WF!!!
If you don't understand the concept of OVERSELLING, you don't deserve to be a client to any web hosting company!!

aren't bluehost part of 'dreamhost'? If so, yeah, sucky-sucky ong time. Dreamhost have probably the most incompetent support people on the planet, and couldn't install PHP properly if you put a fucking gun to their heads.

In fact they make those useless shites hostgator look reasonably competent.

Bluehost has been pretty good to me but if you need the space you should just go for a dedicated server.

Not sure the above response was necessary, however, there is no such thing as unlimited..it's strictly a marketing ploy used by shared resellers.

good luck in your search for a new provider.

Look at the number of posts he has.. 1 !!
He signed up at WickedFire to bash bluehost's reputation.
Do you really think we want those kinda guys hanging around the WF forums?
WF will = DP in no time if these scoundrels aren't kept away :(

I do have a serious doubt that this was done through Xrumer though.

I don't understand why you are attacking me? Do you work for Blue Host? Do you feel defensive on their behalf? My server was taken down without the slightest warning. And I am not talking about space here. I am talking about concurrent MYSQL connections. It's something that I could never predict. The least they could have done is let me know about the spike in traffic and I would happily have a) paid more or b) gotten another server. which I ended up doing, except I did it after three days of down time, which cost me a lot of money and credibility.

So, forgive me for trying to warn others about the scam Blue Host is running. If you love them so much, stay with them. Better yet, move all your high traffic websites to them.

That is sad. I got the similar situation - won't call a name, but that is sucks. Providers do whatever they want, and none (almost) gave me SNMP just to monitor traffic. None.
