Starting to see some traffic - what are my ad options?

My e-business blog is starting to catch some traffic, nothing spectacular but its growing.

What are my options for ads, for example those 125px thumbnails on many wordpress sites, what ad networks can I look for at my startup site with 500 hits a day and growing

don't bother. Collect their emails then send them to ads. Don't let them off your page, especially if its a blog.

This guys got it. You can keep your website looking nice, clean and inviting by not placing adverts on your site at all. If you set up a newsletter system to collect email addresses you can attach a couple of banners/text links to your emails.
You can do a lot more with adverts placed in emails than banners placed on your site.
Some of my affiliates have the high pay out ads in there emails with some copy to explain what it's all about and then a couple of high converting, popular banners on their sites homepage.
