Landed my first 30 customers for my webhosting company. But here is the shit I didnt see coming:

1. My clients also want web design. I charge $25 a month. That doesnt cover the cost of me doing their full design. I need to outsource that ish. Anyone have any advice on how I can fully outsource the webdesign for all of my sites on an ongoing basis?

2. Automating account creation, lost password retreival, and new email setups. I keep getting dumbass emails from clients who forgot their password or dont remember what emails they created. I use cpanel for all clients, but I dont give them access to it. Is there a way I can add these options in a support ticket system to stop these idiots from emailing me?

Any ideas?

1. Unless it's a contractually bound, $25/month is not profitable once you starts scaling because people will just leave after a month. Rethink the pricing model.

2. Use WHMCS. If you're talking about the cPanel password, make sure you send the login details through email (once) using WHMCS.

You didn't see coming that you need automatic account creation, password retrieval, account suspension, etc when starting a hosting business = you haven't been in hosting long enough to see even the START of what's really needed let alone other issues down the road = you're not ready to be in this business.

You can't figure out how to hire designers and manage a team = you aren't ready to run a business = you aren't ready to manage anyone.

I would suggest you do what you do best (get clients, marketing, ????) and hire someone to do the rest but the "hire someone" part seems to elude you.

All the questions you've asked are beyond basic if you spent 1 hour searching and reading hosting business forums/guides you would have gotten all your answers and learned tons more, and to your second point about designers... if you don't know about out-sourcing sites or craigslist WTF is anyone on WF going to do for you? Hell, if you had been using hosting yourself for years you'd know the answers to what you need to start/run/manage a hosting business already, and let me tell you account creation, password management is just a SCRATCH. Backups, abuse, and tons more is needed to run a profitable <--KEY WORD--> hosting business nowadays.

Reality is sometimes harsh.

Dear forum.

I'm starting my plastic surgery clinic. I have already bought an expensive kitchen knives set in Walmart for astonishing $25. Is there a way I can stop these idiots from asking me all kinds of stupid questions?

Dear , you just focus on providing quality service with all support so that they sustain with you and your business get more prosperous ... further more i can provide more detailed ideas on how to move on so that it goes awesome ...

I've been into the webhosting biz for 15 years and I can say that there are weeks where everything goes smooth and weeks where everybody forgets their passwords at once.
It's an up and down game when it comes to customer support.
Raise your design prices and outsource and give yourself more time to focus on the hosting side of things.
And Good Luck :)
