Spearing fish through face and taking a bite while still alive

I've always wanted to do that.
I assume there has got to be some of the wildman of wickedfire who are avid spearfishermen.

I don't know the first thing about it.
Anyone got any info on good spots to go in the So. Fla area?
Good tips?

Spearfishing is work, but there are few things that taste delicious as a freshly caught fish.

I spear Northern Pike sometimes during the winter in MN. I don't bite them while still alive though.

I bow fish. You could hit them with spears as well. We take a flat bottom boat and troll sandy clear water canals. I'm sure there would be plenty of places in FL to do it. Pretty fun.

I wouldn't take a bite of them right out of the water though, always have parasites and other such things. Would be different in salt I assume.
