I received the following email today, a repeat of one I got a few days back and dismissed as bulshit: ( I changed the domain for privacy )

Dear Registrant,

This notice is to inform you that we have received a Whois Problem Report System (WDPRS) complaint from ICANN in regard to
inaccurate whois contact data associated with your domain name(s):
bigoldtitties.com

In accordance with ICANN policy, failure to maintain complete and accurate whois contact details may result in your registration
and/or other Service(s) being suspended or terminated or may not be renewed.

You are required to verify that the current contact data, as it appears in the public whois lookup, is both complete and accurate.
If any updates or changes are required, please make the necessary updates and confirm once completed.

You MUST reply to this message within 15 days (per ICANN policy) in order to avoid the disabling of your domain name registration.

Regards,
Whois Agent

Thing is, I registered the domain through namecheap and as with all my other domains I've enabled the whoisguard on it, so I'm just curious as to why I've got this email. Just wondering if you guys think its legit and if I should give a fuck? Seems a bit vague to me.

Post header information?

You got it, with the old G word in it :p

and

Default MX for namecheap.com is mailfoundry.namecheap.com. Resolves to the same IP as mailfoundry1.namecheaphosting.com.

Looks legit.
I'd reply, but ask for a copy of the complaint first. It'd probably be a good idea to figure out who was behind the request.

I got that too. And as Shady suggested, I asked for a copy of the complaint and got this email back:

Hello,

As such, no further action is necessary on your part.

Thank you for your prompt reply and attention to this matter.
