Software/platform to write salespage?

What are some tools/platforms for creating salespages out there? Do people use dreamweaver or HTML editor? I've been thinking of using WordPress as well but not sure the popular plugins.

peole ussually use photoshop to get things done
as for the platform if you want the easy route then wordpress it is

It's no different than creating any other type of website. Wordpress is great as CMS for just about any type of website, including "sales pages". If you can write html / css, you can create a sales page (or any other type of page), it's no different.
