It reminds me of when Michael Jordan tried to play baseball.

Snoop has to change his style, too, because if he were to try to do 'spiritual' hip-hop, people are gonna buy it just because it's Snoop. He wants the music to stand on its own merits, and he wants to feel like he did back when he was trying to break into hip-hop.

He hasn't had that for a long time, and that's why the last few years, he put in a lot of time helping new rappers break into hip-hop. Trying to live that experience again through others. But now, that's not a challenge for him anymore.
