Has anyone here done this?

Do you fancy sharing your advice, or pointing me to a place with more information :D

You've got a couple options. Your best bet is back ordering it at a few different drop catchers like snapnames.com and pool.com . These companies focus on re-registering names as soon as they drop. If more than 1 person has back ordered the domain, it will be pushed into an auction between all people that did and the highest bidder gets it.

If you think the domain isn't good enough to be back ordered, or no one else will want it, you can work on figuring out the exact time it will expire and then just register it by hand.

let me know if you need any more specifics.

Your best bet will be pool.com then snapnames and enom's clubdrop. See what registrar the expiring domain use, if it's network solutions then go for snapnames, they got exclusive deal with network solutions. If it's enom then go for clubdrop.

I hate pool.com because of their sealed bid auction but their success rate is highest afaik.

Thanks - I joined snapnames... there is a gold mine out there :rasta:
