I'm going to skydive next week, who's done it and how's the rush ?

It's awesome! Your first time won't be free fall probably unless your going tandem (strapped to someone else). Fun as hell none the less.
 
Unbelievable rush. I only did it the once in a tandem dive (got it on video), won't be doing it again though ;)
 
It's an almost indescribable feeling when they fling the hatch door open and you walk over and look out over nothing but 13k ft of open sky -- your mind will be saying, "this just isn't right!", lol

The freefall itself is actually quite peaceful... have fun!
 
If you go free fall, you WILL attempt to swim back up to the plane immediately after jumping out. You will also be surprised how cold and thin the air is (I jumped at 15,000 feet) making it a little hard to breathe. Once your chute deploys it's instant silence and fucking beautiful.

By the way, you'll have 2 chutes with the emergency one hooked up to your altimeter and set to deploy automatically at 1,000 feet in case you're not able to pull the chord yourself.

Pay the extra $50 to have someone jump out with a helmet cam so you can get it on tape.
 
it's awesome. I had the added thrill of flipping upside down right when i jumped out of the plane.
 
did it last year...unfortunately i dived out of a ford focus with wings which i guess is a standard airplane in north carolina, i had to sit backwards against the control panel and then turn around when we hit 12k feet and secure myself to my instructor, at which point he threw open the door, and said swing your feet out on to that little step...so i got to kind of stand outside of the plane while him and pilot were discussing march madness... just make sure your balls are no where near the straps...

it was cool...
 
tell you one thing to expect the night before the jump.... you getting shitfaced and partying all night long cause it can also be your last... Life Motto... write that down.
 
Just make a will first and leave the assets of YEP to Ad Hustler....I'll run that shit for you...lol ;)
