I was sent a link the other day for a photoshop plugin called Sitegrinder
It seems as though it will validly code your entire design by naming your layers with specific tags.

My question is:
Has anyone tried this program, and if so...what did you think of it?
I've asked on a handful of other forums, but no one seems to have heard of it.
I know that this is no substitute to hand coding, but it seems like a good idea for getting the base coding done quickly...then customizing as needed.

Kind Regards,

Got damn, if this thing works I'd have so much spare time I wouldnt know what to do with it. I'd like to hear what others say about it as well.

From what I've seen it seems to generate pretty decent(for an automated program) sites. I'd use it for mocking out stuff then just hand code it once you got everything settled since there will be a lot of useless stuff in the html and css from it. That said if thats all your doing doesn't photoshop already have a feature like that? I'm pretty sure my partner uses it when she mocks out designs for me. Generates horrible html though.

Yeah, I assumed that the HTML wouldn't be the greatest...just something to get the code in place quickly. Im not sure if photoshop has anything that detailed though. I could easily be wrong :)

I just checked out the examples and it's definitely a lot better than the one that comes with PS.
