I've heard good things about this I2P version, but frankly it's still vulnerable in the long run so I think everyone needs to concentrate their efforts building up this alternative technology instead:

This is basically an alternative internet, using the bittorrent protocol instead of the http protocol to serve websites. The temporary drawback is of course that it's not robust enough yet to serve PHP or databases... Just html, css, and javascript for now... But they're working on it fast!
