Should I Promote Merchant Directly?

I have a merchant i am interested in promoting. The merchant is also promoted by some other affiliate programs but they do not have a lot of creatives to use.

I registered with the Merchant's inhouse affiliate and it just rocks. So much info there. However I am just feeling a bit uneasy about working directly with merchant because i havent done it before.

Some of my fears are i have my own niche that i have discovered as a a way of promoting them. I am concerned that they could copy do exactly what i will be doing. To be honest the merchant is a big company with over 1million unique visitors a months.

Working with merchant is almost always a better idea, they often give more accurate & better support. I almost always try to choose the meerchant over a network, because the payout is higher.....but if your not comfortable with it...if the payout is the same then just go with the network.
