Can I get any recommendations for shared hosting? I have used Hostgator in the past but stopped because of multiple billing screw ups and my sites being down. The big ones seem to big Bluehost and Dreamhost, but I'm starting to hear bad things about these "unlimited" hosting plans, where are reaching a bandwidth cap and their sites being taken down even though they are on unlimited plans? Preferably I'm looking for hosting with unlimited or high bandwidth with one-click installs for WP etc, unlimited domains and month to month payments. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dreamhost. Their shared is very cool on many levels - from fast support to clear interface and automatic Wordpress updates. Nothing stalls or gives memory errors like with smaller companies.

Have you ever run into problems going over bandwidth on one of their unlimited plans?

- Dreamhost is Ok but they are hacked quiet often (just google for proof on that).
- TVC.Net is the most secure shared host on the planet, but not unlimited (...do you really need 2 terabytes of bandwidth?).
- For unlimited everything, though not much else, bluehost is not half bad, and better than most (albeit they have a red hack me now target symbol painted on top of their NOC).
- 1and1 is a train wreck control panel and support wise (thought still haven't figured out what language they speak). While not the fastest, is quite cheap as well.
- MediaTemple: "Thank you for your support request. Your expected wait time is 12 hours."

I like how you pimped up tvc.net in the middle of your recommendations. Aren't your associated with that shit?

So fuck you for that.

i guess top11 hosting will make a better choice for shared hosting

Hostgator sucks! They are scammers and dont pay affliates the money they owe. They owe me over $100 and I havent seen a freaking cent!

I used Dream host before, and I hate the control panel, I rather use a host with cPanel.

Cookie Host is lame, they have the slowest servers and constant down time.

I enjoy using Mediatemple but they are too expensive!

Im currently testing a few hosting right now i'll let ya know after I review them.

Never go with ipage hosting, their customer support works great before you purchase their plan & once you bought it You & your issue keeps lying & delaying : (( & when you request them a refund they will not response you either. So guys stay away from Ipage hosting providers.

I recently shifted to bluehost & its great, affordable & I haven't seen any issue yet. I recommend you to read reviews of bluehost, its also not bad. works fine with me. Also its Cpanel hosting :)

im with hostgator a few months and not a single downtime experienced. Very quick and im happy with them.
