Hi Guys,
I have not posted in a while, I would appreciate any input on the courses that are currently running in Melbourne.
I am considering enrolling in the following.
https://generalassemb.ly/education/digital-marketing
Before I get shouted at and told I can learn everything online (which i completely agree with), I am a traveler and have found it extremely hard to study as I get distracted easily when others are around me and most of the people around me just want to drink "goon" and "yolo" the night away. So my current study plan consists of half a ritalin and the local cafe for a few hours.
General Assembly seem to have decent spokespeople for there online learning such as Alexis Ohanian co-Founder of Reddit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4mGfgJSvQw
Great video on "Making Something People Love" from him.
To the point I would like to get a foot in the door job in the field of Digital Marketing working with startups, I feel I would struggle to prove to potential employers that I have the skills to pay the bills and feel that maybe going through a curriculum of some sort may give me the upper hand.
However this is not as cheap as your average pack of biscuits at $3,500
Just a point that I also have no higher education qualifications, would I realistically stand a chance for an entry level role after 10 week course completion
