Server Side Video Serving?

Has anyone setup Red5 Red5 : Open Source Flash Server Open Source Flash on anything? I'm looking to develop a media site, and I want to do FLV streaming. It'd be purely audio, but I like the functionality FLV offers. While Red5 is not Flash Media Server, I think it'll serve my purpose.

Anyone have a line on some REGULAR Flash Media Server setups? I'm not afraid to pay, just thought the open source solution would be a little quicker.

I'm running flv + swf and ffmpeg to serve videos
I had the same idea about music a few weeks ago but for some reason I decided it's not worth it

It's not a music site. I ... humbly ... think of myself as one of the best prank callers in the country. I can tell anybody anything, I decided it's time to monetize this talent.

How are you serving flv without flash media server? I thought they were mutually exclusive?

I serve via the flv player: Flash Video Player
your content needs to be converted into FLV. You can convert mp3's into FLV just the same as videos.
there's a ton of software out there that you can use for this purpose

Thats exactly what I need.In review, if one has the flash plugin, they can watch videos in FLV, regardless of the OS with that player?
