Separating Legit Business site from Affiliates?

I was wondering if I should separate my affiliate or adsense sites from my legitimate business sites.

I'm not using any blackhat techniques so I was wondering if it's even necessary at this point.

However, I've read that having mfa sites on the same IP could potentially harm my other sites rep. I don't know if it's true but would appreciate your opinion.

Yes, this is a good question. Any experienced guys out there with some thoughts on this???

Personally I have a couple shared hosting accounts, one for my legit content sites/blogs, and the other for everything else. I know some of the leet black hatters here have several dedicated servers and shared hosting accounts, and spread there stuff around. A shared hosting account is cheap, so might as well get a couple! (I pay $5 a month for one, $10 a month for the other with two different companies)

If you're not using any blackhat techniques, there is absolutely no reason to separate them in my opinion. Even if your MFA sites are bending the rules a little bit, I still don't think that would warrant having to separate everything.
