Ok, here is the deal- I don't know much about SEO (nothing) and I am in the process of launching a community website with a niche following, I already have the site ect. but I would like some sort of semi permanent consultant to handle directory submission, site optimizations, ad campaigns ect.

Basicly everything to do with getting targeted traffic, I have browsed company websites but they don't offer any substantial information with regards to what they can provide apart from vague "guaranteed top 10 rankings and manual directory submissions" which does not really entice me to shell out money.

I want to know what you can do for me with regards to traffic (estimated traffic vs cost of acquiring said traffic) I want to been in the top 10 for a select few keywords (average, not uber competitive) and I want to know what it will cost me (roughly) to keep you on retainer for say 1 year and provide all my seo needs.

Lets say my budget is 7000$ as a retainer + 10,000/yr for marketing purposes (I will need it itemized for tax reasons) or if I deem your position to be of the absolute importance I may offer a partnership with regards to a stake in the project. That is unlikely however.

I am not sure if this project will go ahead since I am still in talks with my financial backers which concerns another project which will encompass this project but I would like to have a general idea of what you can do for me and how much it is going to cost me in the long run).

To clarify; this is for 1 website and I will need you to handle all SEO related matters with no other tasks. Just traffic and lots of it.

It sounds possible although difficult to do gauge traffic. To do so, me or anyone will need some details.

So let me be the first to ask for details in a PM. url (if any), market, idea, unique selling proposition, site goals, site monetization, etc... Thanks

This is somethign which can be done - But the traffic cannot be given it on the dot but a ball park figure of the traffic you might recieve could be given out.

Its a good thing that you want to mention a retainer - Moreover you mentioned something about having a dedicated submission guy - Directory Submission isnt even a major factor in SEO - heck, Google is starting to devalue directory links..

Ok- I have a guy lined up if it goes ahead-Thanks for everything. and I may contact some of you for alternative quotes. :)
