Selling Products through affilaites

I have been searching for products to sell using my contacts in retail. (7 years advertising national retail chain)

I have found a few products that where interesting, but kicking around here the last few weeks I have started thinking about proposing to perspective product owners to use affilaite marketing as part of the marketing.

If I get the rights to one of these products and want to sell it using affiliate marketing what would be the best route for me. Offer the product a network or do it myself.

If it's a physical product there is going to be some level of "do it myself", you'll have to do fulfillment and credit card processing as well as sourcing of the product. (Most) Networks just find you the sales channel, everything else is up to you. If you want to manage the affiliates as well look at something like e-junkie.com or hasoffers.com

I do have experience with with payment processing so that should not be an issue. As well as I have experience with dealing with poker/casino affiliates, that may be beneficial as well.
