This is a pretty straight forward question, I have a lead that I know will convert - I got it in person from someone who I do business with. I would like to sell the lead to a company where one of my direct family members works (as an out-of-office sales person). As a new guy I don’t really know how I would go about brokering the deal.

Call up a business dev person or director of sales and tell them you have leads that suit them perfectly. Not much more than that. My company buys leads like this quite often.

Its usually less risk for businesses to offer a commission on completed sales rather than pay upfront for leads so you might find it easier that way.

Most companies I've found will pay a "finders fee" commission after the deal is done.
You have to decide if you trust that they will pay you after the fact though.

I've found that it's effective to start sending leads before you even broker a deal. Just send em on over and once you've got their attention, if what you're offering is actually valuable, they'll start paying. Any leads you sent them before the deal would be on the house, but that's a small price to pay for the future earnings.
