Who all is going to the A4D meetup or better yet, who will be in the SD Gaslamp area around June 21st?

Would like to meetup with some people for 1-2 days.

If your not going to be there, but have been.. drop some interesting places to eat/chill/visit and things to do.

I have on the agenda the SD Zoo, Coronado beach, various gaslamp places and Catalina Island. Drop me some cool things to do while in SD if you can.

A walk on La Jolla beach.

A walk on Oceanside beach.

I like walking I guess.

SD Zoo you will need a whole day for it, especially if you are going with the kids. Schedule a minimum of 4-5 hours and get sun screen :)

I literally have to be there for my job. I'm the guy holding the Massage sign.

Say Hi to me as you pass by and I'll give you a discount on your next massage.

Very good tip.

Im going with kids and I knew it was big.. so knowing 4-5 hours ( I better make it 6-7 to be sure ) is useful to know. Hat tip for the sunscreen mention.

There's no way i'd waste the time driving up to Oceanside just to walk on the beach... OB, PB, Mission Beach and La Jolla Beach will give you all you need in terms of beach diversity, and they're all right there in SD.

I also wouldn't spend all day getting up to/out to Catalina (which isn't really near SD) just to buy touristy knick knacks and see the world's biggest pipe organ (lulz).

If I were you, I'd stick close to the coast, start exploring both beach and boardwalk sections from south to north, starting in Ocean Beach... head north until you get to the far northern section of Pacific Beach, then jump in your ride and do the same in La Jolla. Stopping into cool shops, bars & restaurants, plus copious amounts of time in between on the sand, and you could easily fill 3+ days doing that... and that's what SD is all about -- its coast.

Good luck.

Not going to be able to make it out to SD, but I would like to chat with you about your ppc services. Since I can't pm yet, can you shoot me a pm so we can chat. Looking to get a campaign starting in the next 2-3 weeks...4 weeks tops.

Mission Beach, La Jolla, Old Town, Balboa Park, Coronado. OB has hippies and PB partygoers - not the best for kids.

Tru dat, didn't see he had kids until after my post. I agree, your list is a good one, and plenty for 3 days. I'd maybe add a Padres game, since they're already in the Gaslamp. But if they do find themselves in PB, get the fam some fish tacos done right.

I have lived in San Diego my whole life and my office is in the gaslamp. There is definitely a lot to check out, but here a couple things.

GoCar Tours (great family experience in Downtown, Google it)

Tacos El Gordo(tj tacos taste amazing)

Barley Mash (great food on 5th ave)

^^ that is some damn good info. Thanks man!

Anyone else coming or got some tips?

I've applied for my US Visa for a different purpose , hopefully it gets approved so i will be there for the meetup on june 21 .

Waiting eagerly for the approval . :rasta:

Go up on Golden Hill via E street and go to the Turf Club. Cool spot where you and everyone else has a big grill in the middle and you get to bbq your own food. Steaks, fish, chicken, veggie items as well. Fun time for sure.

It is also fun to go over to the Wave House in Mission Beach. There is an artificial wave machine. You can ride if there is not a competition, it is cool just to watch people ride and have a beer.

Have fun.

*Oh yeah, Catalina is cool and all...but you may want to consider doing something else.
