Sales Pages To Model?

What's up all.

Alright, so my goal for this weekend is tighten up my sales page on one of my products. I'm using the long form sales letter technique.

Does anybody have any recommendations for sites that you think have particularly good sales pages to model?

Are there any classic ones you guys recommend I check out?

One thing I'll mention is that I have a lot of trust built w/ my current audience/fans and so I have to make sure I don't use super hard sell or scammy sales language.

Thanks!

As far as performance marketing goes (so we're excluding branders) there's no such thing as a too scammy looking sales letter. There are just two types of copy, the one that performs and the one that doesn't.

So my advice would be, test things that look scammy to you because honestly your average visitor doesn't care too much about what your page looks like.

Don't try to impose what you think will work on the creative process of finding what works. On the last page I did heavy split testing the end result was a complete abomination. Imagine conflicting colours, big obnoxious headlines and an extremely ugly background. It is what it is. The traffic "chose" every single element on my page. When you're doing extensive multivariate testing the best structure is revealed to you. I'm kinda rambling now since this is something that intrigues me.

To answer your question, look at your competitors that have been in your space for a while and you know are pulling good numbers, look at top offers in cpa networks, look at high gravity clickbank sales letters. Now use slight variations of what they're using and set up a big ass split test. And then let yourself be surprised by what your own traffic shows you works best.

I would think that if it's a competitive term then all you need to do is look into the first page of results for some good performing sales pages. After all, why would they spend money on getting to the first page if they weren't going to spend money on ensuring it converts?

Well I'm in a unique niche in that most people either can't teach it or don't have the business knowledge to turn it into products. There is consumer demand for the info but not alot of expertise on the topic. So, most of my competitors have either no sales pages or really crappy ones.

There isn't a competitor really to model unfortunately. It's good and bad to be one of the first.

Ah, I see. This site advertisingcopyswipes.com has a lot of free swipe files you can use by top Copywriters like Gary Halbert, etc( a swipe file is just basically using a sales letter and copying it, but changing it to suit your audience), most sales letters are basically the same, they are just worded differently, so it's a pretty good resource.

man very cool share. Thank you! Most of these were print ads at one point though unfortunately.

check this out -

Convertible Theme Preview

it is what I used for my service trackbacks.info and is super easy to set up, modular etc.

It only allows you to do one page but it has all of the bells and whistles built in as short codes. I've split tested it against more traditional style sales pages such as:

Pro Affiliate Theme Demo Options
http://proaffiliatetheme.com/demo/3/sales-letter-1/

and it performed very well.

BUT - its really not all about the theme/layout - its all about the copy. There was a really good example in STS a month or so back about this ridiculous "how to pick up girls" type niche and it had an awesome video intro that captured "us" which is really one of the best ways to see if its good.

hope to see some more examples

Yes, but these are high-performing ads. Swiping is generally taking each section and rewriting it. That way you include the flow/emotion of a great performing sales letter, and make it your own.

might be worth running those through wordAI.

That's without a doubt one of the most retarded fuckin things I've ever read here, mate.

It doesn't make a fiddler's FUCK what medium you use to serve the message, "copy" is about WORDS and LANGUAGE that COMPELS an EMOTIONAL, VISCERAL RESPONSE.

All the images, flash, videography, etc. on a web page just serve to enhance and reinforce the PRINT MESSAGE. That's what does the actual selling, and if you think different, well... refer to paragraph 1.

lolol. Good luck bro.

Google "andre chaperon" . His main site should come up with links to all his other stuff.

I really like his sales copy because it doesn't feel like sales copy. Basically takes a long form sales letter and breaks it up into multiple pages and tells a story.

If you already have a lot of trust built with your audience then something like he does may really help.

This is even better, actually.

Today, online, anyone can throw up any old crap at no cost and run it. The actual print ads cost real money, so you already know if they run for any period of time, they are doing well.

OP if you don't feel comfortable writing you own copy, hire a copywriter.
