I am creating a sale funnel with one FE, one upsell and one downsell. But I don't know how to get the messages "leave page or stay on page" to appear when people try to leave the offer?

What CMS are you using?If your using wordpress https://wordpress.org/plugins/m-wp-popup/ should help. Your looking for just a simple popup so when traffic is trying to leave your site you can give them a free something instead
Try Exit Splash, I think it was like $67, well worth it.
