whats the safest way to buy a domain in the $xxxx range

i assume just use escrow.com?

thanks

I always use escrow for buying or selling domains/websites over $500. The fees are a bit high but it's the only way to guarantee a safe transaction.

Escrow.com or Sedo. If it's a big sale, do background research to verify legit ownership and get a basic contract.

I wouldn't use sedo unless the sale was with sedo.

Escrow.com is always good, it's best as a buyer.

Moniker.com has an escrow service that I think is more pricey than escrow.com, but its for domain transactions.

For people who have a clue, go with moniker.

I do all my $xx,xxx+ buys/sales through Escrow.com

If using Sedo or Afternic their escrow services are fine too.

It's more difficult for the seller, because a buyer can pull out at any time without getting into trouble. Never sell a high-priced domain (or even a low priced domain) with paypal because the buyer can open upa dispute and then paypal freeze your account.
