TACOS $1.00!
zensix.com
(Obviously I own zensix) I just got an e-mail from a potential customer who asked the following:

"Does the bandwidth on your plans renew monthly or yearly?"

I figure he asked because the plans are all paid yearly and he thought maybe the bandwidth only renewed when he paid... I'm wondering how many other people think this as well? I could be losing a lot of customers if this is a common way of thinking.

Go look at the main page... When you see the plans is your first thought:

1. The bandwidth renews monthly
or
2. The bandwidth renews yearly

?

Yes, someone non techie would assume it is yearly. Just add a "/month" if you really think it is bothersome. And of course put it in the faq.

(like most people) I'm used to understanding the parameters in a hosting package are based on monthly periods...

but yeah... I can see how it can make somemone wonder if the bandwidth is monthly or yearly because all of your prices are yearly....

why not write "10GB Bandwidth/monthly" or "10GB monthly bandwidth" etc.

this would fix it.

you do have to make things very clear for people... if they are confused, they'd most likely look elsewhere as there is so many other choices out there.

my 2 cents.....

Thanks guys, I'll be adding something to let people know. I just went through all of our sales e-mails for the past month (which I don't normally answer) and this question has been asked 7 times already.

since the big bang bandwidth has always been monthly

we all know it here because we are familiar with websites and all this stuff, but you don't imagine how many persons have NO CLUE what they're doing when buying a hosting plan...

a lot of them can't understand the difference between domain and hosting...
