I know blah blah there's a big thread about FB, but I thought this gem of a fuckup by Facebook deserves it's own thread.
I have a live in nanny that signed up for FB last Thursday night using my computer. She signed up, put in her email address, and successfully registered.
I then signon to my advertising account on Friday and find that all my ads have stopped running. I then checked my billing information and my credit card info has disappeared. I found that odd and re-entered in my information. It saved successfully. But my ads still weren't running. The message "There is an outstanding balance of $xxxx.xx USD on your account. Your ads will not be displayed until your account balance is settled. Please enter a valid credit card below. When you submit that information, we will charge your credit card for $xxxx.xx USD." still remained. I then went to the payment page to enter in my credit card info and it wouldn't accept it there (even though the billing info page stored my CC info successfully). I tried another card and same shit. It basically won't charge my card to settle this unpaid balance.
I then see at the top of my profile, I now have my nanny's name attached to my advertising profile. So basically the system will now only accept her credit card because the account has magically switched over to her full name. I logged out, cleared cookies, cleared cache etc, relogged in using my advertising profile email addy and same shit. I logged out and asked her to login to her account. She did so, and I found that she was unable to access the Ad Manager on her profile as it wasn't setup (which is correct). But my fucking account still has her shit attached to it. So basically now I can't run ads until these fucks clear this up. And best of all, it's the weekend so I won't be running any ads till earliest Monday.
How the fuck did this piece of shit system automatically think that this new user should be attached to my account? Please note that my ad account did not have any user info attached to it (as the system allows this when creating an ad profile only) but still, this stupid system assumed that a new user registration should attach this shit to my existing ad profile.
