If I want to get energized I'll listen to something crazy like Die Antwoord, or minimal, psy-trance, etc but sometimes if I'm in the zone I just want some relaxing background noise/music to stay focused.

There's a radio channel on my tv box that plays nature music and it's really awesome. I picked up some recordings they play on it from here: Download albums from Wild Sanctuary

I think I like the "Soundscapes" better since all it is is natural sound.

Anyhow, can anyone recommend something similar? The ones with nature + music are good too but I have a few of those already and I'm really digging the whole no music thing.

Right now I'm listening to the "Rainstorm in Borneo" and it's pretty cool. I know there's a ton of stuff on that site from this guy but I'm not too familiar with this "genre" of music so maybe someone that's into it can recommend something nice and soothing. There's not much for reviews on Amazon either especially for Bernie Krause.

Try Natura Sound Therapy (just Google it). Not sure whether it's the type you are looking for tho. but I personally found it very very soothing. It comes with integrated brainwave technology and has some pretty good preset (factory) sounds.

Hope this helps, some way.

I used to try the nature stuff, but it's too slow and would eventually annoy me.

Stuff with too much lyrics, shut up.

Classical, I'm not trying to sleep.

Heavy, drains you fast.

Secret of life? Downtempo music, someone posted it a while back, best music ever.

Not too fast, not too slow, not a lot of lyrics, good beats to listen to something.

You can try this track to get a taste, reminds me of good game music.

If anyone else has any other DOWNTEMPO recommendations I'd really appreciate it!
