Hi, newbie here. I am wondering if anyone has advice on redirecting to a different domain vs. just sending people to your blog or site to read your presell from an article marketing site like Ezine.

I've heard that sites like Ezine can be good, but you can't have the affiliate link in your content or as your signature, you have to do a redirect. Any advice on conversion rates with both methods?

Thanks!

Ezine will get pissy at you if you direct link or redirect to the affiliate page. If put up a legit url to a landing page, get the article approved, and then changed it later to go directly to the affiliate page, I doubt they would notice.

Don't even waste your time with EZineArticles as your primary source of traffic. Those are your articles, post them on your blog, and market your content to your niche. EzineArticles will only bring a couple hundred uniques and then die off, so you have to submit tons of articles to keep the traffic going. Not worth it, IMO.

It can help with links a bit though for SEO.

Redirect vs. Landing

Excellent, thanks for the info. I was wondering about article marketing, I think it would be better to focus on some ppc and build seo as much as I can.

Ezinearticles does allow you to redirect to the merchant's page as long as your redirect is the top level domain (like redirect.com is ok, but bombastic.redirect.com is not ok, and redirect.com/bombastic is not ok).

I use EZA to get some backlinks for SEO, but I don't get a lot of visitors from it. The article pages have all these adsense ads and other exit points that keep them from clicking through to your link.
