Real time linking

Simplest way would probably be to just take the latest 5 articles off the RSS feed from that blog, and display them in the page. In fact, this is the way I'd do it unless there was some very special reason.

If you can't have a feed for whatever reason, it would be easy enough to log into the other blogs' databases and grab the latest articles.

Or you could hire someone and do it by hand, around the clock.

Probably won't have much effect on SEO, though the interlinking may help a little - in particular the posts might be indexed quicker than they would if they were standing alone.

Yea it is using the rss feeds for the latest headlines displaying but what kind of script to use to get the similar kinda of look?

You want ready-made software to do the job for you? Then I've absolutely no idea. There will probably be plugin available for whatever platform you're using. but without knowing what that is I can't help you.

You could just take the Feed and format it to your liking the standard way: with HTML and CSS.

Other than that you could:
i) search the web for 'RSS Feed plugins' and hope you find something that's identical;
ii) email the owners of the page and ask nicely;
iiii) copy the HTML and CSS from the page and use that to format your Feeds;
iv) write it yourself.

Hope that helps.

I'm happy to do it myself, cos I'm looking to learn, and like seeing how things work. Probably just need to be pointed in the right direction. I guess I'll start by checking out the code on that page.

You might more Google-love if you have relevant feeds. (I'm assuming that - I'm no SEO expert!)

Prepasted toothbrushes? Dill Pickles? Scotty's ashes and Beyonce being made the face of Armani... must be really important to Silverchair fans!

i need to figure out how to use this rss stuff... that's for sure.

Do you know how to program? If so, you can just grab the 5 most recent RSS feeds from those sites and throw them on your site, just like sleepy recommended.

SEO: No, this won't help your SEO, and won't really help the site recieving the link either, because the links on your site will be changing so often it won't make a difference.
