I am digging up search keyword loaded domain names that hopefully, would give a ranking boost.

(More accustomed to coming up with short .com names using abbreviations that perhaps only I find clever.)

I guess .com less essential if the names not so much expected to be typed in.

It's amazing just how many of the google keywords are already taken for
.com, .net, .org and .info

I find openings for .us and .biz, I suppose because these are newer ones?
Is the user acceptance reputation of the extension the biggest factor?
(the tool I'm using doesn't handle .ca or .tv which I otherwise would be considering)

As I understand, a shorter name is useful in adwords, where a fake /subdirectory may be tacked onto the display url, whiler a name optimized for the fabled SEO benefit can be a long ass thing loaded with keywords, like PurebredDogGroomingForDummies.

I really appreaciate the wickedfire pros who have "been there", comment on any of my questions or misconceptions would be appreciated.

BTW Why are .info names so cheap?

This post did get a bit rambling, guess I could use a ghost writer for my blog posts.

I did look into .info a bit more... Seems like the low/no cost pricing stragety intended to kick start the name kinda backfired, attracted all the wrong types, schemers, scammers and domain tasters switching to .info after being twarted by the adwords' 5 day activation delay.
There are report that google recently cleared out a bunch of .info sites recently.

Maybe .info will get a makeover.

This blog looks interesting for the domainer types:
