I have a three-word domain name that is a .net, but is easy to remember, self-explanatory (ie. the name would be perfectly descriptive of a site built around it) and relevant to today's web users. The .com just sold for just over $50,000 ... no site, just the domain on a GoDaddy parking page.

Should I be excited or just keep letting it sit and make me the odd bit of cash as is? I understand that even if put for sale right now it wouldn't garner a small fraction of the .com price, but even $500-1000 would be stratospherically above what I have in it, and what it makes per month.

Yeah, thought about that. Also considering spending three days throwing up some fast but decent content.

A little further research only brings up low five-figure results on Google for the exact phrase that the domain says, but relatively little search for the exact phrase either. I don't normally get all gooey over "similar to mine!" domain sales, but this one being as large as it is really has me wondered about how to cash in on it.
