Hi there,
I just started using AdWords (with very minimal success thus far). Here is my problem. For starters, I am in a VERY niche dating category, so there is not a great amount of traffic for the particular keywords I'm hoping to attract.
That said, I read on this forum a while back a post on how to best group your keywords, and the guy basically said make sure that you create ad groups with 4-5 keywords PER group. I am wondering why this strategy is effective.
Here is what I have done in AdWords thus far. A few days before Christmas I grouped all of my keywords in one ad group. I think the monthly traffic that all of the keywords attracted in TOTAL was around 500k or something (so not a lot).
I only left the campaign running for a few days after getting around 8 clicks and decided to bail.
Now what I have done is taken those 15 or so keywords and grouped them into about 6 ad groups. I just did that today, so I have yet to see if this strategy works better or not.
Anyway, I am a complete AdWords n00b, so any suggestions you have for me would be most welcome. Thanks!
