besides wickedfire, what are some other hepfull sites a noob should be following?

no chow, shoemoney, or this is how much i make blah blah blah. i dont care about what you had for dinner or who's hurt your feelings lately. im not gonna lie and say they arent in my bloglines but i havent felt like ive read interesting content yet.

id like to read, listen, learn more without having to ask dumbass questions. another words i'd like to think i've put in an effort before bugging the forum. but if i dont know what i dont know how can i figure out what i need to know?

and im not looking for hold my hand instructions but want to surround myself with knowledgeable people that have actually done it and know what they are talking about and not just repeating what others are saying.

thanks before hand...

Personally, I don't think reading "affiliate" blogs are worth while. They aren't going to tell you anything of value for risk of creating competition so they mostly just stroke their own egos.

Affiliate marketing requires you to be familar with a lot of different disciplines; copy writing, design, marketing, programming, seo, etc. Mastering some of those things will better prepare you for success... you can pay someone else to do the things you aren't good at.

That said, I think you should keep abreast of issues related to those topics, like seomoz.org for seo, copyblogger.com for copy writing, etc.

You should definitely subscribe to all sorts of different blogs and check them out whenever you can. See what they have to say, you will learn with experience if their posts are any good. Just don't become a fanboy like the same losers you get posting comments on every single JohnChow and Shoemoney blog *shudders*.

Although I strongly dislike a few of these blogs, here are most of the online marketing / business / entrepreneur feeds I've subscribed to and check every day or two:
