Putting AdSense on a site that was already banned

I am looking to purchase a website from a friend of mine. However, his AdSense account was banned a few months ago, and his website is associated with the ban. Is it possible to purchase the domain, or put my AdSense account on the site? Would that get my account banned too? Or does google not look into these things. Any help you can provide will greatly be appreciated. Thanks. I am rather certain that a Google Search box can't be put on the site, but can AdSense ads be put back on?
 


if the site/URL itself was banned from adsense, then no, Google typically does not allow you to put your adsense code on there, even if it had nothing to do with the original problem.

if it was just that person's account that was banned but the URL is okay, you are okay.

just send Google an email with the URL and ask them the status. they were able to tell me that a site was permanently banned that i was looking at buying.

to be honest i don't remember...but it shouldn't matter - they should reply regardless of how you contact them. if you have an adsense account you can navigate to a help/contact page.
