I know this has been asked before, but I'm looking for some up-to-date answers.

Does anyone know of a Prosper202 alternative that doesn't lick my dog's nuts?

Yeah Prosper can be screwy at times.

I've been using ==> Trackopolis Gold Edition a lot lately and is rocks.

It tracks my media buys, ppc and other activities really well and you can host it on shared hosting.

It's free, but not open source like prosper is....

Check it out.

shit, and I thought my dog's nuts would have been enough to clarify the question. I guess I should have specified "your nuts".

Does your boyfriend know you posted his video?

What exactly is wrong with Prosper? I've had a couple troubles myself tbh but when I post around here I get the same douchbaggery answers.

If you have a little budget check out DT's one they're releasing soon, Directtrack.com - Tracking Software.

Fuck off noooooobz. PPC Coach has a tracking tool. no pixel placements needed and no dickroll. Other than that, google, yahoo and msn placement pixels ussually all work fine if you are on those networks, or you can just split your subIDs

I've experienced major javascript errors with prosper. Errors so bad that the landing pages will cease to load. It seems like it's something to do with doctype / content-type / validation. I'm not JS expert, so I really don't know the cause.

I've also been experimenting with my own tracking system, BUT mine isn't scaling well and I don't have the time to rewrite it. I switched my campaigns back to Prosper and saw an immediate 50% plus drop in conversions and I'll be damned if I can figure out why. So with all that, I need another option.

Google / Yahoo / MSN pixels work "ok". However, I'm not one willing to give all my data to the big 3 and I'm tired of waiting around for the networks to place them.

Oh and spliting up my subs... thanks for that tip but I need something a little more robust. Spliting up subs for 1000's of keywords manually... no thanks.

It also needs to be self hosted or hosted by a damn trust-worthy company.

Oh and I'm not some noob, I've probably been at this longer then 99% of this board.

ya thanks silentbob, but between playing CS and rubbing one out to the dickroll, I just don't have time.

What's worse noobs or senior members giving out dick rolls? bunch of morons.

I asked here too but didn't get much help yet.

I just want something to track the conversions and give the merchant some code they can put on their ty page, and not google conversion tracking since that's just going to work for google adwords plus it sounds flaky.

Maybe hypertracker is a solution but I hate paying monthly for this shit. I'll poke around on p202 forum and keep ya posted.

I don't know about Prosper, never used it, I use a semi-custom solution where I just download subid reports - upload them to the system, and then that data is matched up with the keywords data, no pixels needed.

For proven or promising campaigns I use Conversion Prophet (works with conversion pixels) which is a split testing and keyword tracking script in one. It's not free though, but it is good.

The new ppc coach tracker does adwords cost data updates automatically every night via their api system. It also can rotate landing pages, rotate offers, hides keywords, allows for subid uploads, (soon to be automated too, just in testing phase at the moment), is self hosted and it cooks your dinner and rubs your feet after a long day at work. There is also a "happy ending" upsell to the foot rub, but it's an expensive upsell.

:)

hmmm, guess I've had a lot of trouble the last 8 years... I should quit...

Prosper IS a great piece of software and even better because it's free. However, it doesn't take away from the fact that I've experienced errors with the stock JS. It only happens on Windows in IE and it doesn't seem to happen all the time. I haven't been able to track down why it happens, but like I said, I'm no JS expert.

I'd try posting in the prosper202 forums with an exact description of what is causing your errors and how to reproduce them reliably if you can. You'll probably get an answer within 24 hours. Last time I posted a question there I got an answer in like 3 minutes.
