Promo Ideas for affiliates?

If an affiliate is getting a decent EPC promoting one merchant's product in particular niche, is there any kind of affiliate incentive promo that might get him to switch merchants? (Assuming conversion rates are the same or slightly better overall)

Obviously different levels of affiliates would be attracted by different incentives or promos, but is there something universal that might tempt someone to switch merchants? Cash is the quick answer, but that can't really be universal given differing performance levels...

It really depends on the affiliate programs and their managers. I can give you an example of ours: 1. Performance Bonus ($200 - $1000) | 2. Tier 2 | 3. Higher payouts for performance...

It really depends on what you can deliver for your merchant. Some merchants will go above and beyond if they see you can deliver and others will just say "oh... good job" just really depends on the attitude of the company.

Do you typically tell the affiliates up front what the clip levels are for performance bonuses? Do you think affiliates are more likely to switch if they know up front what they need to get to to receive a bonus? or does it matter...

In the adult industry there are often limited-time-campaigns when you get higher payouts. They wouldn't do it if it didn't work.
