Prom

I went a year after I was already out of high school with my then girlfriend. It really wasn't that great. I think it means a lot more to the women then it does the guys.
 
I thought prom was a bunch of crock shit. ALL for the ladies. Oh, and I had to spend all the money.
 
dude prom was the shit. I went to my Jr. Prom, and it was on 4/20. parents just sent me this pic of my prom the other day. It was a good time. Damn that shit was 7 years ago.

it's overrated, if your one of those super school spirit people you will probably like it, if not then it's going to suck.
 
I was never really into school events but for some reason prom kicked a lot of ass. OH i know why, because i wanted to get my license so i could drive my date and I, and the only time i could get in to do the tests was 4/19, the day before prom. I passed with 100% on the driving and written part. So that added to the awesomeness.
 
Prom sucked. I had a hot date but I think the only reason she went with me was because she was from another school but had a lot of friends in my school and wanted to party with them.

The parties over the following 2 weeks were a load of fun though.

I went to 5 proms my Sr. year.
Life's all downhill after high school.

Don't forget that part. Although having no clue who the OP is or what they look like, tonight might just be dress-up and head home empty-handed night for them.
 
The awesomeness of prom is directly proportional to the awesomeness of wherever you live, multiplied by the relative attractiveness of your date.

That is to say, prom in a small midwest town with the band's drum major isn't so great.

OP's parents are strict nazi's so I'm headed straight home. =( But OP is smart and sneaks out so after I do that, refer to the first part of your post.
 
have fun and definitely enjoy your prom. It's one of those experiences in life you shouldn't skip.

Honestly it won't be "the most magical night of your life" but you'll probably have a lot of fun and get laid.

My prom story: I had a GF at the time who was short and kinda bitchy. One of my really good female friends was going to the prom stag so I told my gf, "look we're not going to last forever obviously, so I want to go to prom with a friend not a girlfriend" It was harsh but necessary. Made prom a hell of a lot more fun and the after party kicked ass. Needless to say though I didn't get laid that night and she broke up with me a couple days after that but yeah. Totally worth it.
