So I want to make posters for a certain niche and sell them on a web store. I'm trying to decide whether it would be better to invest in a plotter and do the printing myself or to submit my photos/designs to a larger poster company like allposters.com or something and have them deal with it while I just generate the sales. Ideally I'd have them printed in China but I don't have the initial capital needed to have multiple prints for customers to choose from. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice?

um, well if capital is a problem (and even if it wasnt imo) the easiest thing to do is find a decent one off poster printing company (my 1st google :
Cheapest Poster Printing Prices | Zip-Posters
UK based, so probably no good to you) and price to break even based on them.

build the site, test the demand, and then decide when you have hard data rather than dodgy advice from an affiliate marketing forum.
