Is Prosper202 the best tool out there for tracking PPC. How does it compare to Optimize My Site?

I read that OMS was bought by Affiliate Classroom then seems to have disappeared from the market as far as I can tell. What happened to it?

Thanks.

I've never even heard of Affiliate Classroom. I use P202 self hosted in combination with Clickheat for my landing pages to further track down to the explicit detail of where people are clicking. P202 has always been good to me

Having used both I would say they each have pros and cons.

OMS
Pros - It tracks all the shit you need if you are doing ppc from the main 3 engines. goog, yahoo and msn.

Cons - It doesn't track orgranic conversions, which sucks because unless its ppc traffic you won't know what keyword converted. Also, who knows how often it will get updated etc as it was just sold a few months back.

Also you have to be able to upload csv files to your ppc accounts which is easy with goog but not so easy with yahoo unless you already spend a good chunk of change with them and have for at least a few months to get a gold account.

p202
Pros - More versatile, tracks ppc traffic, orgranic traffic or really any traffic you want and its just the shit.

Cons - You can't set exactly how much you pay per click for each keyword but if that is a big deal, get the tracking 202 pro.

p.s. Affiliate classroom is run by amit metha and anik singal, both are incredible douche bags imo! OMS used to be owned by jeremy palmer and I think he is a good guy but since those 2 douche bags bought the product I would probably stay away from it.

Save yourself the trouble, use prosper.

Hi Lil,

I posted the exact same question at a different forum. It got very little response. I know where to come in the future.

What do you all feel about choosing "Prosper 202" over "Tracking 202"?
Prosper is self hosted whereas Tracking is not. Would I be stupid to reveal my keywords and campaigns on Tracking 202? Is Prosper easy enough to set up?

And does anyone else have an opinion on Optimize my site?

Thanks!

I tried Tracking 202 and the one thing that pissed me off was that whenever I changed my PPC bids I had to go into the tracker and recreate the links. That's a big pain in the ass if you have a lot of campaigns. Is their hosted Tracking 202 pro the only way around that? Self-hosted Prosper 202 also requires the manual bid update?

Bombastic - I don't get it. Why did you have to change your links based on bid changes? That does seem awful as I tend to update bids constantly, especially with new campaigns.
