When picking a new offer, do you typically look for something you have domain/niche knowledge in or do you just follow what offers you know to be hot and put in research learning the market?
The offers I have run previously were related to content sites I was running and so I had knowledge of the products and the buyers. Obviously most affiliates pushing acai berries didn't relate to the obese women completing the offers. I feel there's a competitive advantage to knowing your market and having somewhat of an interest in the products, but at the same time I see that you could overlook many opportunities.
How do you find offers when you don't have knowledge of that market? Aside from copying everyone else, how do you relate to your market and find a competitive advantage when it's not something you know? Any thoughts on personal expertise versus just following the money and figuring out what works? I'm trying to find offers I think I have a chance at successfully promoting but I'm having a hard time searching.
