Paypal Subscriptions PITA?

Paypal subscriptions is being a pain in the ass. Do all the people that sign up for a subscription have to have a Paypal account? Or is there a dollar amount cutoff?

I hate telling people that gotta go through that 'wait for a bank statement' thing so they can pay me $1000/mo.

Should I just say fuck Paypal and get a real merchant account?
 


Found the answer on an unofficial Paypal forum. Can't go wrong with info you find on the web.

Looks like the account option 'don't require a paypal account for payment' is not available for subscription payments.

Let me know if that is wrong.
 
as far as I know, yes. Otherwise there are too many 'oops - that prepaid $50 cc just expired' nonsense. With a payscam account, they can direct debit your bank ac.
 
Just use paypal merchant and set yourself a reminder to bill them. It's good for you to realize you're billing them instead of doing it robot style.
