Password Question ?

My sites are hosted with host gator. I would like to know why is it that for every add on domain there is a seperate username and password. What is the use of this when I am able to access the cpanel of any of the add on domains just by using the main account username and password. I am sure the answer to this is a very simple one but yeah I don't know.

If it's like the cpanel that I use then it automatically uses that username and password to set up the ftp account for that add-on.

If you can access your domains by using cpanel then I wouldn't worry about the username and password. As long as you can login to your cpanel and login via ftp then everything will be fine.
