i was wondering if there were any paid social traffic case studies here (didn't see any) or elsewhere that any of you guys know of.

I don't mind throwing a little money at it, I'm doing a little anyway but I figured if someone has some info to share I'd like to take a look.

I've got a site with some really great content that should share well. Business/marketing niche. The cpc is pretty high and ranking it will be an uphill battle.

I just started paid Stumbleupon traffic yesterday. For $10 I got 1600 visits. Seems pretty low quality, but I got one affiliate sale and one person emailed me about providing another service, so I guess that is a good start.

I'd like to buy some paid Tweets from individuals in the niche but am not sure how to find them. I looked on BSA but their paid tweets have an ad disclaimer on them, or at least did last time I used them a couple months ago. Anyone have and advice or experience with paid tweets?

Any other social media sites that might be worth looking into?

Pinterest probably isn't very good for this niche.
Linkedin maybe?

Any advice or links to useful info (like googlehammer) would be helpful.

Most social traffic providers usually generate very low quality traffic. Some of it might also be bot generated traffic that is completely useless. You also have to be careful about earnings from such traffic as programs like Adsense, sometimes, have a way of figuring out traffic that is bought.

Since you are willing to spend money, why not invest in Facebook ads. If you are clever with PPC campaign management, you can get targeted visitors who might like your page and in turn allow others on their friend's list to also find your page. Of course, this will only work when you have strong content on your site.

Just want to reiterate what WowContent said. Buying traffic, Twitter followers, etc. is a black hat technique, and if you're found out, you may face some consequences.

Try to keep things above board and it will pay off in the long run. :)
