Just got my copy of P90X today. Anyone have good results from this workout plan? I want to burn a little excess fat off of my body, and get some rock hard abs.

So, anyone a fan of it?

It works. You won't pull thru tho. And there are many other things that work better than this. Just go to the gym, lift some weights. Forget about P90X :)

I purchased the ISSA fitness training course back in '04 (Become a Personal Trainer ~ ISSA Personal Trainer Programs) which is a personal fitness training certification course. I imagine it can be found somewhere online ::cough:: - It's very comprehensive, but that's ideal when you truly want to reach a particular goal (whether it be lose fat or build muscle) - These canned plans like P90X (mind you I haven't researched it at all) are most likely inferior to actually understanding all of the fundamentals that go into truly effective and customized plans.

Just blindly following a guide/plan without understanding how/why will almost always lead to failure. I'm not sure if P90X is like this, but I can only assume so since so many other canned fitness plans/guides are.

i did it for 2 days, was so saor i couldnt even list my fucking cell phone, a then quit. onlt to dabble back every now and then...good thing a friend just downloadedit for me

fuck its hard

I can make it through. I can bench around 220 and can go free running around my town for about 45 minutes straight. I think I can handle P90X :)

Oh noez D:. I could barely understand your Engrish D:!! Kidding. I understood :]

I'm around day 70 and it's done wonders. Look at the Amazon.com reviews.... 2000 five star reviews on a fitness product. That never happens. Check teambeachbody.com forums for more info and testimonials and stuff.

I didn't mean it that way. It's just the program is too demanding and time consuming. You must follow the diet guide as well. Which may alter your cooking habits quite a bit. And the exercises are always different so you need to learn them and watch the DVDs and allocate time during each day. It's just too strict. It seems like it's designed for people to fail. Then they can blame themselves. And buy another product. Or a "helper" upsell product ;)

It's like 90 minutes a day tops of shit you can do in front of the TV. You don't even have to go to the gym. And you don't have to follow the diet guide 100%. It can't get much simpler really. You just turn on the TV and follow the instructions for 90 days.

I guess we just have different circumstances. I live near the gym, so for me it's not an issue. And my workouts are 30 mins, 45 tops! Also I tried p90x and failed, I know 2 other people who gave it a serious try and failed. I don't know anyone in real life who managed to finish the program.

Just completed my first day. That was a freaking burn, but I felt awesome after a drink of water.

And also, my friend NEVER followed the diet guide. He lost 35 pounds and he isn't ripped, but he is really curvy and has really nice 6 packs now.

I live near a gym, but P90X is a lot more economical for me. I work at home (For extra cash). I can get to work right after I finish P90X and have access to drinks and protein powders in my house.

I can't wait for the Kenpo part of the DVD. Looks pretty fun and I did Kung Fu for 14 years, which should make it easier.

Mostly body weight exercises but you will need at least a set of dumbbells (not heavy unless you're trying to gain a lot of muscle instead of definition) or you can just use resistance bands instead which would be more convenient to take on the road. Apart from that to do push-ups I'd use the perfect push-up to do them. (see image)

That's about it.

EDIT: Oh and I forgot, you might also need a pull-up bar, the kind that you can hang from your door frame. Although if you use resistance bands you can use them to do pull ups as well.

Lost 90+ lbs since Feb 1st. Depression first then got back to eating according to their program. Was doing Insanity in the AM and P90x in the evening for about 10 weeks straight before taking a month long break.

Went back to the AM cardio and evening P90x as of yesterday. Almost 30 yrs old and never been this fit in my life.

March 12th - around 250lbs down from around 270 somethin - Login | Facebook

Last week going to Vegas 185 lbs - Login | Facebook

Oh and a towel. You're going to be sweating your balls off!

I am willing to guess that it is like most other canned products out there. I do like the concept of the videos. Since we seem to spend more and more time in front of the TV. Also like every other program if you stick with it, you will see some effect, it has to be a lifestyle change.

But what Do I know, I am new here and didn't know this was for gay webmasters, hell I am neither.
