I suspect fake gay marriages will create some very interesting business situations. Essentially marrying your business partner, to provide more guarantee of shared revenue. Or simply using it as a tool to guarantee your business partner doesn't end up losing half his share in the business to some silly bitch in a divorce.

Not sure how it is in the US, but I'd rather the word marriage just be removed from all policies and legislation completely and replaced with civil unions (or whatever word you'd like to use). That way the churches can do whatever the fuck they want and my gay friends can get the same benefits as my straight friends when they are in a committed relationship.

It's the religious radicals that want to enforce their beliefs on people. These are the same people that say that people are "born gay"... Well if someone was "born gay" and everyone was made in God's image, then what does that tell ya?
There are so many more important things in this country to worry about; education being the primary thing, that wasting time talking, reporting, protesting and fighting gay marriage is a travesty!
If it doesnt infringe on your freedom, why do you care. Gay marriage isnt going to make your kid gay. It's not a plague. It's not stopping them from living their life the exact same way they do now.
